I subscribe to several Daily Email Nuggets….John Maxwell, Darren Hardy ….they provide bite sized nuggets to help align me or cause me pause in perspective, thinking etc.
Today on the bottom of Darren Hardy’s Nugget called ‘Do What’s You’ was a comment that I think is key, based on the amount of uncertainly in our day and age.
The credit and author is a gentleman by the name of Drew Eversley, who’s writing this for his mastermind group.
Drew’s quote: Today’s writing is on “Delicious Uncertainty”, something that I’m challenged with on my journey many times. Hope this writing provides some insight for you all.
~~The Turnaround Part III ~Delicious Uncertainty~~
All, Many of us want certain, perfect endings. Then we learn, sometimes the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have clear beginnings, middles, and ends. Life is mixed with uncertainty, having to change, re-adjust, learn and taking the moments and making the best of them, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity…Delicious Uncertainty {Gilda Radner}
A related skill to “doing hard things” is thriving in uncertainty. Starting a business, for example, is a remarkable thing to do, but if you’re scared of uncertainty you’ll probably skip it. You can’t possibly know exactly how things will turn out, and so if you need to know how things will turn out, you’ll avoid life-changing opportunities, projects, career moves, relationships, etc. The need for certainty usually triumphs over all those things, and inhibits us from ever getting the car out of the garage so to speak.
But if you can be OK with not knowing, you’ll open yourself up to an endless pool of possibilities. But of course they won’t come easy… Sometimes you will not be able to see where you are going; every step will seem uncertain. But know that as long as you follow your intuition and take baby steps, your soul’s inner GPS will guide you home. You will find that you will be the right person, at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing on point. Trust your instincts, trust in your abilities to learn, adapt and figure things out as you go. Relax, real living is all about learning as you go.
If you simply ignore your feelings and let uncertainty win, you will never know anything for sure, and in many ways this unknowing will be worse than finding out your hunch was wrong. Because if you were wrong, you could make adjustments and carry on with your life without ever looking back and wondering what might have been. So embrace uncertainty, because some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later {Bob Goff}………………end of quote
More recently, on my adventure to better find out “What do I want or Doing What’s You”, I have been leading a book study on Michael J Losier’s book, “The Law of Attraction.” It’s very revealing as it shows ‘The Law of Attraction’ is ALREADY ALWAYS happening. But for most of us it deals with our unintentional selves, operating on default. We do have a say……….but we have to be INTENTIONAL…………Step 1 provides a marvelous worksheet to help you have more clarity.
