My 5 BEST Travel Helpers

We had just returned from a wonderful trip to Costa Rica and it occurred to me that there are “VIP” items to have when you travel, that you may not know about.
So let’s highlight those for you here.  ***There’s a special BONUS one at the end***

  1. This is a new addition to my travel tools, but oh so good. For a $ or two you can purchase one at the dollar store.  It helps with toasty airplanes, muggy commutes and especially if you’re traveling to a warm hot spot, it can make all the difference.  Dozens of people on our ‘7 degrees from the equator’ tour coveted my fan.
  2. My # 2 is ALWAYS my Aloe Gelee.  If you have fridge in your room, keep it there as there is NOTHING that feels better on too much sun, as cool aloe. It’s also my favourite hair gel, to keep the hairdo manageable, easily.
  3. You may be like my husband and say it’s a pain to carry one more thing onto the plane, but trust me,  26 hours of commute takes a toll on your tail bone.  I use my neck cushion more to sit on, then as a neck cushion.  Either way they clip on easily to your luggage and help diminish those aches.
  4. I go nowhere without my pashmina shawl…they are light, easy to pack into your carry-on and they multi-purpose.  Great for drafty cover-ups or as extra cushions behind your neck.  I take two, one white and one colorful one to add to my evening wear.
  5. This one is difficult to photograph. It’s a bolero sweater that I bought to go over a party dress (I hate cold shoulders). It has long sleeves, full back, but only rounded bolero front caps so nothing shows in the front. But I’ve found it’s the perfect travel top (to go under my top).  It adds sleeves without making you hot all over and it’s a quick two minutes to take it off for layering

Two KEY ITEMS  to add to your list are products to make you GO and products to make you STOP GOING.   Nothing more frustrating on a trip than to have your elimination not cooperate.  Be sure to pack your own medicine helpers as many times a pharmacy is not within reach.

BONUS ADDITION that makes all the difference for Wellness on a Trip (or anytime for that matter) ✅

Envision yourself in this picture:

  • Scenario #1 – You’re in Rome taking in the history of ancient days when you stumble on the uneven cobble stones in the city (plus all kinds of uneven, rocky paths in the ruins) leaving you with aches, pains and then having discomfort or problems getting around.
  • Scenario #2 – you’re in a lovely bright tropical place when one of those super pesky head pains occurs and you end up spending your days nauseas in a dark hotel room instead of seeing turquoise glistening water on a beach chair.
  • Scenario #3 – You and your family (true story) are in Hawaii when your daughter experiences super angry monthly cramps. So, while the remainder of the family frolic in the water, your daughter is laying under some shade moaning in utter pain, with you trying to provide some level of comfort.

All of these ‘take away’ from the vacation.   PS.  Those 3 scenarios are PERSONAL

But if you had this packet of acupressure patches as a carry-on – there could be relief in minutes.  The HOLIDAY saver 🎉❤️  Don’t leave home without them.

There you have it!
