Tools to help with Zoom Exhaustion

So much information coming at you, in so many different ways, by so many new channels.  No wonder you’re feeling exhausted!  When your body is shutting down, it’s pretty hard to allow new stuff in.

How to cope and how to make sense of it all?

Today I was forwarded an article called, ‘ The reason Zoom calls drain your Energy‘.

It shares some reasons why – which all make sense.  But in today’s environment we will be required to stay in contact with video calls, face time, and all things electronic, so we best have some ways to cope.

I wish to share some strategies that will help your body cope better as well.

Reducing Zoom Fatigue:

  • Stay hydrated, one goal to shoot for is half you body weight in ounces per day.  150 lbs = 75 oz of H2O.  Your brain is working hard trying to decipher all of the info in front of it, the visual cues, the words, the graphics.  Staying hydrated is key to assisting optimal brain activity.  When I was learning kinesiology we would muscle test throughout the day to check our hydration.  It was amazing how fast we were dehydrated when we were in ‘learning mode’.  If you’ve ever had Emotion Code or Body Code consults, you’ll know why the practitioner keeps mentioning ‘drink lots of water.’
  • Help your ‘Windows’.   Yes, those eyes of yours.  Use natural tears (ie Refresh is one brand) throughout your day to help with all the eye strain.  In fact, keep it NEAR YOUR WORK STATION.  My eye specialist suggests 4-5 x a day when you work at a computer.
  • Eyes again and this time with a side benefit of helping you sleep better.  Have you considered Blue glasses for screens?  Blue-light blocking glasses have filters in their lenses that block or absorb blue light, and in some cases UV light, from getting through. That means if you use these glasses when looking at a screen, especially after dark, they can help reduce exposure to blue light waves that can keep you awake.
  • If you are feeling drained, exhausted or draggy after screen time – your body is telling you it needs some support.   What kind of support?  Endocrine system support. Adaptogen support.  Adaptogens are natural nutrients that support the body dealing with stress, fight or flight responses and have a positive record for helping people dealing with change.  One key adaptogen is Rhodiola Rosea  comes with a long successful track record in natural health.   It is found in a good supply along with synergistic nutrients in ‘Oliviva‘ .  One to two ounces a day is all it takes to provide some help.  Click on the photo for more details.
  •  If you’d like a recipe for a great ‘morning startup drink – Oliviva Sunrise’ just message me and I’ll forward it on.

Key take away is we can ADAPT and with some added tools, we can do it easily, and help our Self Care regime at the same time.

Wishing you a Productive, Healthy, Energetic Day!
