What do you HATE the most?

I know, many of you are saying HATE is too strong a word or emotion.  Hear me out.  I’m reading Darren Hardy’s (Editor of Success Magazine) newest best seller right now, The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster and his first chapter grabbed me.

He shares that love and hate are the same thing…just looking in different directions.  If you love something, you equally hate what threatens it.  If you love whales, you probably hate global chemical pollution.   Being successful in business requires an emotional charge.  HATE is a powerful motivator because it puts you in action to eliminate what you hate.   What are you willing to fight for?

I love inspiring people’s greater inner potential and their vision for what’s possible in their lives (health wise, goal wise, personal development wise).  Which is why I hate the piranha people….you know them….the hackles are going up as I share about them….they’re the ones who burst into your space and start verbally vomiting all over you……why you should buy their “___________” (fill in the blank); why you should join their venture and ‘ALL THIS’ and they haven’t asked you a thing about YOU.  They don’t know what makes you tick, they don’t know the challenges you have, they don’t even know if you are INTERESTED.  They just proceed to shove whatever they have down your throat.  (if you thought about it a bit, I think you’d admit that it ticks you off too when you’re on the receiving end).

So here I am in this powerful industry based on “Find a need and fill it; Be a Solution Provider; Come from Contribution and Integrity; Help others grow past their limits, Help others be Successful; One team-One dream; Bring positiveness to a negative world”  and these yokels come in and taint the public’s perspective and muddy the waters of your industry with their misguided ineptness.

Okay I’m typing faster, so this definitely is the burr under my saddle.  BUT it also fuels me to get out there and TEACH a BETTER WAY!

It doesn’t matter that I was once shy (Yes honestly I was)……when your WHY is big enough Fear disappears.

So here’s a key SKILL

Our prospects/clients and even members of our own family have a different point-of-view than we do. So how do we give them our message in a way they “get it”?

By quickly identifying their color personality.

4_Color_Personalities

There is a fun, easy way to know how your prospects think, and the precise magic words to say to each of the four personalities.

It increases co-operation and lessens tension………in ANY relationship, be it work, family, school.  It does not matter the age either, it’s a personality type and the sooner you learn how it works, the better and less stress for you (and them).

I had to use this daily when I was caring for my 6 year old grandson…….wow I couldn’t believe how crucial it was to help steer the day.

This is the one skill that you’ll use every day for the rest of your life!
